Batliner Paper Stock is seeking a Maintenance Manager to lead maintenance operations in our plant. This is a newly created role with the opportunity to build, lead, and improve maintenance processes and team performance.

Job Summary
The Maintenance Manager is responsible for ensuring all plant equipment, machinery, and facilities are operating at peak efficiency. This role requires strong troubleshooting skills across mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, along with the ability to lead a small team and minimize downtime through preventative maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of 2–3 maintenance technicians
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues
- Maintain and service equipment including:
- Conveyors, balers, forklifts
- Skid steers & front-end loaders
- Hydraulic cylinders
- Perform preventative maintenance (PMs) to reduce downtime
- Conduct electrical work up to 480V
- Troubleshoot motor starters, relays, and proximity switches
- Perform welding and metal fabrication (Stick, MIG, Brazing)
- Maintain facility and outdoor plant areas
- Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations
- Manage maintenance records, reporting, and work orders using ManagerPlus
- Rebuild hydraulic cylinders as needed
Requirements
- Strong skills in:
- Mechanical, electrical & hydraulic diagnostics/repair
- Welding & fabrication
- AC/DC electrical systems
- Ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs, and perform physical tasks (bending, climbing, standing)
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to work flexible hours when needed
Education & Experience
- High School Diploma or GED required
- 5+ years of maintenance leadership experience in an industrial or plant environment
- Technical certification (2-year degree) preferred
- Experience with heavy equipment maintenance highly preferred
- Experience with balers and hydraulic systems strongly desired
- Proven leadership in a fast-paced environment
- Experience working in outdoor/industrial conditions
- Experience managing commercial drivers is a plus
