The Dispatch / Billing Specialist will schedule shipments with carriers to deliver loads to mills. The Dispatch / Billing Specialist works daily with managers and warehouse staff to discuss outbound loads and shipments and will also create invoices and documents for entering mills and/or border crossings.
The hours are 7:00am - 4:00pm Monday - Friday.
Responsibilities/Duties
- Support dispatch and logistics operations by maintaining accurate shipment records and preparing billing documentation
- Schedule inbound and outbound loads daily
- Work with sales staff to create purchase orders
- Update monthly pricing on orders
- Create scale tickets for incoming and outgoing loads
- Create worksheets, bill of ladings, invoices, etc.
- Schedule container loads for port shipping
- Retrieve weight confirmations and gate passes from customer portals
Required Skills/Abilities
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment / multi-task
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Good communication skills - written and verbal
- Must be organized
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or GED.
- Two years of warehouse logistics and dispatch experience.
Compensation
- Starting at $25.00 per hour
